'Our Hoeymoon'
The bridge of Sighs. Prisoners were ushered along this bridge before being
executed and it was their last look at Venice and the outside world, so they
would sigh as they went over the bridge. I would have blocked up the windows.
View from Rialto bridge.
A view of Rialto bridge.
Looking down the grand canal.
St Marks square.
Carol and I above one of the many canals.
This was a different island call Burano. It was tops as all the buildings were multicoloured.
Our last night in Venice having a top meal.
The same evening we did the gondola ride. It cost 100 euros for 45 mins, but was worth it.
This was as the sun set on theGrand Canal with a silhouetted gondolier.
Here's our very gay gondolier who works at the glass factory through out the day and lives in a tiny house.
We didn't buy his sob story and didn't tip him.
Our final day was the hottest, it was also the clearest day too. The contrast of the buildings against the sky
was amazing.
