'Tim In Iraq'

Here is Tim in front of Basrah International Airport - his home for 4 months.

This is the air-traffic tower where he worked.

Inside the air-traffic tower.

This is an Iraqi Helicopter.

This is a british Lynx chopper.

This is where he lived. When I first saw these, I though it was the cells on the airport.

This is inside the accommodation huts. Tim's bed is on the floor, around the breeze blocks and under an iron sheet and sand bags - below is the reason for the protection:

This is where a mortar hit the runway. Tim said that while he was there, over 200 hit the base. On Tim's last day there, one hit and killed an RAF guy.

Finally - Fern Britton was there with GMTV. Tim looks happy.
